    I had an older edition and like how this new edition incorporates the financial crisis in. And shows who was making money during it.

    I read this book about 5 years ago, and my discipline and performance improved instantly! I was just browsing through some material on iTunes and noticed there were only a handful of reviews for this book, and they weren't that good. I'm a normal guy, but a guy who understands trading and markets pretty well. I guarantee you, anyone who fails to see what this books delivers, has probably never had a good thing to say about a book. Maybe a second or third read is in order if you aren't getting it. It's a conceptual thing... Understanding the concept of the title of the book alone is one of the best lessons you can learn, then develop your own system. Follow his podcast. If Michael Covel is wrong, how is he able to get interviews with dozens of the worlds most successful traders? Some of the most successful of them have been on his podcast several times. Michael Covel's work is legitimate and very helpful to anyone able to think on their own and work for success!
  • Trend teaching???

    It claims to teach you how, but it doesn't! It does introduce you to the concept and some of the players. The conclusion I came to was that you need to develop your own computer program (probably a crawler) to ID the trends. Better to find a investment group that is a trender and invest with them, but they usually want a boat load of money to buy in (500,000 to a Mil)

    Don't buy this book if you are interested in learning anything about trend following. The whole book reads like an introduction, teasing you about great things to come until you find out they're never delivered. Actually the whole thing feels like a sales pitch. Build-up after build-up then... more build-up until............. You guessed it, MORE BUILD-UP. Three hours into the book, I forgot what it was even about, much less why I considered buying it. However I did find some meat in the appendix that was interesting regarding a detailed case study. But still, it was like buying a piece of fried fish only to discover it was mostly breading. His Complete Turtle Trader book was much better after the first couple of chapters. That book was both interesting and useful. His system has merit worth testing. Turtle Trader isn't an infomercial like this book. It's a "how-to" book with detailed case studies.
